Siphonic roof drainage in Afyon
Three projects have been completed in Afyon, covering 40,250 m² of roof. Each sits in a different location: a 30,000 m² rubber manufacturing plant in the Emirdağ organised industrial zone, 6,000 m² in Sinanpaşa and 4,250 m² in Sultandağı. Two of the three are on their own sites, outside any industrial zone.
Industry in Afyon is not concentrated in a single zone. Rubber manufacturing, electrical contracting workshops and agricultural storage are spread across separate districts of the province. In food and agricultural warehouses, roof water is more than a drainage question, since keeping the interior dry is part of protecting the stored goods. Because a siphonic system collects the roof water into few lines and takes it straight outside, there is no need to hang a forest of horizontal pipework inside the storage volume.
Every building starts the same way: roof area, pitch and local rainfall intensity are recorded, the hydraulic calculation is run to TS EN 12056-3, and it is handed over as a certified report. Geberit Pluvia outlets sit on the roof and Geberit HDPE pipe carries the flow. Welding and installation are done by our own DVS 2207 certified crew; we do not send a subcontracted team to site.
